Another shit source but there is a lot of talk about this

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4821580/Cristiano-Ronaldo-willing-to-take-Man-United-pay-cut.html

Also read somewhere that two entrepreneurs have placed 50k on him being back by September

I was at work earlier this week and there were two blokes fitting all the server/IT talking about this. They were saying that United were going to pay him similar to Van Persie and Chrysler were going to pay the rest in return for him being some sort of ambassador for them, all part of Chryslers new sponsorship package

From what iv read they are striking up some sort of unique package that will revolutionise the way transfer deals are done in Europe, possibly due to FFP? Somehow getting the player at a lower price than normal, but the selling club benefits more in some other way from it, as said only read very quickly, so dont know the exact details

I'm waiting for the announcement to happen this week like Steve said it would. Only a few days left now.

It would be a massive signal of intent from the United board and a huge weapon to give the new manager as well.

I still can't see it happening though, I reckon he'll see out his contract and then re-join United.

Just wonder if he'd still be as quick then as his pace is a fairly key part of his game and he'd be about 30 when his contract ends.

If Rooney got sold now and Ronaldo came back that would be a decent bit of business.
