I agree with everyone else. Why fit skinny tyres on skinny wheels? Looks stupid to me tbh. I fitted 185/45/15 nankangs to my twists to clear the rear archs because 195's rubbed. Thats the only reason and there not really streched onto a 7" rim so they still look normal and wont come off the beads. Some of these streched tyres look dangerous to me and i wouldnt run them.

Heres a pic of mine

Just a tiny bit of stretch to clear the arch.

sticking a tiny tyre on a tiny wheel just looks like you have poverty spec steels/alloys on your car, and from the rear it looks pathetic.

Good point well made. Stretching tyre just for looks is pretty gay but lets face it, it's a modern part of car modding today so does have a certain benefit for 'looks' or 'style' But as mentioned, Stretching is all about fitment.

Left: 225/40/18 on a 9.5"
Right: 255/35/18 on a 9.5"

Well you've kind of painted me in to a corner on that one, haven't you?

Ashamed as I am to admit it, I actually learnt it from Steve a couple of months ago, when he posted about it in another thread.

I'm unsure how I'm stepping on your sensitive toes on this subject?

Nothing new at all about saying J. Ever since I've been into cars people have always said 7J or whatever.

But anyway, that blue corsa is a perfect example of how shite and awful stretched tyres look, and surely is unsafe having the arch sitting between the rim and tyre like that!

Its on air or hydrolics so thats just parked. Be mad to drive it like that. But i agree too much stretch looks dangerous and stupid.

That's not as bad then lol but still a crap look IMO. I prefer to have as wide of a tyre as possible, maybe I'm just not in with the scene
