My old man worked at Brough years ago. I used to love the family open days in summer.
Long time ago now though, he moved onto CSC when alot of IT stuff got outsourced.
I remember him rattling on about the Typhoon since forever, it seemed the development of that plane has gone on my whole life!

Pic 2 on page 1, CHRIST... the dash! (cockpit readouts)  How do those boys understand/operate/keep an eye on that lot?!
You've got to be a bit special in the brain department to operate on these levels.
And on top of all that, you're really meant to be doing it in a combat scenario too. Bugger that.

Had the self same thought, plus an image in my head, of myself stood in the middle of a hangar, surrounded by far more small pieces of aircraft than is good for me. And simply wheeling my tool box out of the place.
Talk about being special in the brain department. Bloody hell I don't envy the chaps that pull these things apart and fix em.
Must be very rewarding work if you've got the gift though.
