The new mercs seem to have stupidly bright brake lights. Was stuck behind one in stop start traffic on the m6 for 45 mins. Nearly had to break out the sunglasses at 10pm!

Nice car btw.

I'm sure it is a great, refined car compared to the smallest Vauxhalls of old.

But that rear end is shit. The fog and reverse lights look they have been stuck on because it is an import.

Saw one in Sainsburys car park today and thought nice car but ugly.

I cant beleive in 2013 car designers are still making cars with god awful odd coloured lenses for fog and reverse, like the vw beetle. Either lightly tint the reverse light lens red or use a red fog bulb in a clear lense!!!!!!

Looks good.

Whats the Spec? Also, how much was it? Did you get anything knocked off the cost atall (other than the Free Leather!)?

We are looking at one for my missus, but don't know of anyone with one to ask other than the local Dealership.

It's a 1.2 S/S Jam (The names are pretty grim)
Full leather
Upgraded Stereo
LED exterior light pack
Interior light pack (had to spec this to get the alloys we wanted)
17" alloys
Metallic paint
Winter pack - heated seats and steering wheel

We got partners discount off it and 4 years 0% finance. I also was able to use £500 worth of GM points.

Not gone far in it yet but it seems to be pretty solidly built and will do the job nicely.

Yeah it seems pretty solid and handles well. It doesn't have the power to pull the skin off a rice pudding, but to be honest I don't need it to. Took it up to motorway speed on a dual carriageway and it got their fine and cruised along with no issues.

Out of the 'million' differnet colour options you chose something quite bland imo. However saying that, it does suit it. Looks really smart.

i actually like the grey tbh. i think it'll age well, whereas the mix and match coloured ones will go out of fashion or won't appeal to as many people when it comes to selling it.

i agree. easiest way round that is to buy a clear fog light cover. if it's the same as the reverse light, then just buy another from vauxhall. if the fixings are different, purchase a reverse light from opel, as in europe, the reverse light is on the passenger side afaik?

I'm no designer but it looks fairly intentional to use the fog lights as a feature.

Just realised what they look like.

Low bonnet, high roof, smashed rear end.

A 21st Century G-Wiz.

I also now don't like how the rear on the Adam is almost identical to the front. Light clusters are similar shape and fogs/indicators in a similar position
