so lets 'max' this situation out, what could you get from say... a viper induction kit and full straight-through de-cat exhaust system plus manifold? reckon 25-30bhp is possible?

On a corsa? With any of the standard engines, you'll be lucky to get more than 10BHP. The thing is the standard stuff is not all that bad, so changing it wont make much difference.

the thing is mate you got no chance of making 10 bhp with a k+n, it tkes hundreds of £'s t get 20bhp so u not goin to mke 10 bhp with £40-£50

well your both wrong basically mate I aint getting at you or anything mate but from an induction kit 10bhp is NOT achievable, BUT NEITHER IS 5BHP, maybe from a viper whish is near to £250, but persoally would not bother as that could go towards something major on your engine mate, Regards Paul...

TBH u ain't gonna get any gains really from any kits, maybe a little bit if setup and tested properly, but end of the day, its something the filter the air its not inducting anything, so whether u spend £40 or £250 on something that basically a filter ur just changing the route of the air.

its all a con.....

induction kits simple reduce the amount of power the engine is required to use to such in air.

Most RR's are done with bonnet open letting the induction kit breath cold air, when under your hotr bonnet (Viper excluded) it will suck in hot air and loose your engine power.

You can make your own box to seal your induction kit i think mattC did this?
