Same as any other parking charge (not fine) on private land.

Only little problem is they clearly know who you are and you've clearly seen the sign. That's one of those things where claiming not to know what is going on is better than standing your ground.
BTW, nice car.

soooo if i carried on parking in the same place and getting tickets can they do anything?
technically from what the signs in the car park say i have done nothing wrong, it says i have to abide by the t&c's on that plaque and i am as im a visitor of nightingale court, does it matter that some do gooder from the building says i cant park there?

I personally think you're on shaky ground because they know who you are.
All the other stuff relates to them knowing the car but not the person. If you've seen the sign and the training company has your details I wouldn't be as confident.

Edit - although the training company can't really legally hand over your details....

ignore it, the only people who can legally impose a parking fine these days are the council and police

Yeah there's nothing on the sign about each company having a limited number of spaces.
In fact, that sign actually works in your favour compared to what is said verbally.

Clicky here
upon reading this it says to appeal it, every other site i read up on said ignore, i did and have not received anything at all.
its the same company that issued the ticket to me too, its not enforceable by law, they are just saying you have breached a contract, i parked in the centretainment complex in sheffield, no pay here things or any form of ticket to park, its all free, i parked on the kerb as it was busy (as did umpteen numbers of cars) they took a photo of the car, it costs them money to get the details from the DVLA, some say they had letter after letter and they ignored them and they stopped coming

thanks ian that has just made me even more confident theirs 8 of us on this course and we all sat and looked this up on the internet today and had a massive argument with the silly cow doing the course, who is so far up her own arse she cant see day light, think their a couple of us that wont last the full course as we'll get kicked off because we dont back down when we know we are right and she doesnt like it

my step dad just said he received one from the same company a few months ago too, he was fuming and took it to the police station at moss way to see whether he had to pay it, they said in the eyes of the law no, its just a loop hole in the law apparently, the same as the private clamping companies

he's just added that the police officer said even if they send off for your details to find you they cannot prove who was driving the car

Its not a loophole, anyone can invoice anyone subject to a contract being in place.
