How have I only just heard of this.

So if you have a shitter that you wouldn't be bothered about fixing up yourself, you could put your excess at £1000, if you crash you don't pay it anyway?

fully comp with a high excess can be cheaper than tpft though

so if i claime just for hers i dont pay? never dealt with insurance before but that doesnt seem right? I always thought i had to pay my excess if i was at fault regardless of what i was claiming for - mine, hers etc?

also - is there a set period of time i need to make the claim? like 48 hours etc

websites are misleading

some say excess is paid for any claim

some say excess is paid for claim on my own car

company is axa - need to ring them tomorrow as my head hurts lol
