Sky is a choice, licence fee is forced if you want to watch TV legally.

Next few peoples details sent over, expect an email with code shortly.

As always this is first come first served, as they do run out before the final date usually

I don't find this the case though Russ.

I don't seem to have enough hours in the day to watch what's available on Freeview, so can't see the point in paying over and above the tv license for more adverts and more telly i'd never have the time to watch.

It does seem incredibly steep too.

I suppose ''one man's meat, one man's poison'' and all that.

I know John, like road tax. But at least you get television programmes into the bargain in return, instead of merely the right to view a television legally.

Road tax doesn't buy us anything more than the right to legally drive on what potholed rubbish, masquerading as roads there is out there.

I was merely drawing a parallel and pointing out how barmy it is that people whinge about the license fee, whilst people are willingly forking out the thick end of seventy quid a month for the privilege of watching some more commercial telly. Madness.

Coulld you possibly find out, I was thinking about getting a subscription again but when I went through all the details they added an extra fee on for line rental? If I can get a subscription without having to pay for line rental that'd suit me
