I've always had one since owning the Evo because I don't use it. Had a Punto, then Megane, then Clio now this
Why do you need a run about if you don't mind me asking? I own an Evo and have a run about but I do a lot of trackdays! Don't think i've ever seen you post up pics of your car on track.
Few reasons really. I am building the Evo to be as mint and clean as possible and choose to only use it on sunny weekends, for meets and shows etc. Wouldn't want to use it everyday due to running costs, leaving it in car parks etc. Having a car you can hop in and use anywhere is worth it's weight in gold whilst the Evo is tucked away in the garage. Just the way I like to do things.
Na never been on track with it.
You say if you have to ask about running costs on an evo you can't afford one so why are they a worry to you?

I effectively use my missus' Corsa as a daily driver, and I can afford to run the Scooby much more than I actually do.
I'd rather dump the Corsa in a busy carpark or take it out on a rainy day rather than get the Impreza all minging, so I see his logic in a runabout combined with £9k services he has to pay for at Evo specialists

Jesus give it up you fucking old elephant.
Who said I was worrying? I could easily run my Evo everyday but I don't want so I bought another car that does better MPG that I won't worry about dumping anywhere, any time.

Price is about right, they have dropped loads in the past 2 years.
If the flywheel is original it will probably be on its way out. You can tell from a low pitched grumble at lower revs (1200-1900) in higher gears (3-6). My second one is on 118k, just had clutch and fly replaced. My old one on 75k needed it doing too

Naa. Sorry.
The remap has only been on 8 months. Got the receipt so it's not had too much stress. But thanks

Doesn't matter if it has had a remap or not, my first one wasn't mapped. Just letting you know that they are expensive to replace. Although it is rare that they will fail and cause more damage, most just rattle/cause more vibration.

My Dads Fabia VRs (same engine and box) is over 180k now. No major problems, except a few fluid leaks and a blown turbo which took the intercooler with it

Never had anything against Seat until my bro got one. Seems cheapo for some reason. Even under the bonnet. He has an fr550. Am sure it doesn't even come with laquer on the paint or its really thin.
Ideal runaround though.

Ah cheers Antee.
3corsmeal I'm surprised at that mate. My LCR was probably the most solid, well built car I've owned. The paint was stunning too and felt very solid to work with. Evo's paintwork feels thin and horrible compared to the LCR. Thing I love about this little Ibiza is it feels like a baby LCR

Not sure where these expensive services come from, i have all reciepts for mine and its not as bad as an m3 imo.
Also i got 210 miles to £50 of v power mixed driving which isnt that bad either...
But i still wouldnt want it as a daily, bolsters be fucked in no time imo
