its 2litre 16v 172 bhp vvt revs to the shift light at 7200 and is standard hehe apart from wheels and silver indicator bulbs

a standard 106 gti cant beat a 172 up the strip but a tweaked one can but 172 handles better than the 106.

3corsameal no the 172 looks diferent to all the others but then you have this the v6

the 106 has been voted on many occasions by many different mags the best handling hatch, top gear tested a 106 against a 172 around a track and the gti out handled it there aswell

erm well auto car just tested top 25 hatches and 172 came second after ctr followed my saxo vts with 106 coming in about 7th

im reffering to the older 172's btw, i believe the new shaped ones like urs are better, the comment bout saxo coming third then 106 7th is gay cos theyre the same goddam cars lol

dont get me wrong i love 106's mate but the book figures are way out we have the strip times to prove it hehe

yep but as soon as you lower or change wheels - handling will be better on some cars- just cos they handle better as standard does not indicate there full potential

they are very very similar or they used to be but the saxo has been changed and the 106 hasnt really since it first came out and the 106 is slightly different when it was first released anyway only a bit tho

the pre 2001 106's are better, latest models have the cat built into the manifold hence u cant tune them, how gay

yes i know tests dont show full potential hehe but you cant go modifying everycar just to make it handle a bit better for a group test in a mag
