typical England friendly, nothing to get excited about, decent enough performance.
Its rare I say anything good about Rooney, but though he did well tonight playing off the front man. If Carroll is ever fit enough to play think it'd work well with him up top and Rooney off him.
Brazil next up on Sunday evening

The match was expectedly dull as fuck given the season has fginished but there was actually some semblance of an atmosphere last night
There was a lot of banter before the game but then whilst we were havign a pint before taking our seats, there were loads of Eng-er-lund chants and a guy (in a friendly manner) raised an Irish flag and got promptly had a pitn thrown all over him by a very angry lookign 45 y/o who was goign mentla and started signing no surrender
When ireland scored, the few irish sat near us jumped up to celebrate and it kicked off big time! loads of stewards had to step in and eventually a load of irish fans either on their own, in a group of 2 or 3 or weedy lookign were rmeoved for their own safety and probably 20 or so England fans were ejected there was a very quiet group of 4 irish fans directly in front of us who got the no surrender chant aimed at them by some 20 year olds who had no fucking clue what it was even representing
stewards certainly earned their money last night

Fucking Brazil think the squad has already flown out as well, nice little holiday for them.
Apparently subject to appeal according to BBC breaking news

Won't happen Steven, we play well against good teams, it'll be a 1 goal defeat IMO.

I was saying this earlier, england seem to raise and lower their game according to the opposition, hence we never get a satisfying result.

We never get a satisfying result because we're shit and our manager is old fashioned.

What I mean is, one week we can beat brazil, or spain, or Italy (all games we have won in the past 12 months), yet struggle against Montenegro, Ireland etc etc. I genuinely think part of it is English arrogance thinking for the easier games all they have to do is turn up.
Granted the Ireland game could be partially excused for end of season.

It's because most players are lazy cunts and don't care.

Brazil are in a shocking run of form, no chance they are spanking England.
I can see another bore draw tbh.

I just hope Ronaldinho gets on at some point. This is Neymar's chance to impress against good (ahem) opposition.

I wonder if the Brazilian press are utter cunts like our press.
Expecting them to walk over everyone when actually they're not really all that any more, then moaning like hell when they don't stuff everyone

Also, pitch looks awful and very slow, ruining England's usual quick slick passing
