you'll be crying like a bitch when a chunk of tyre ruins your engine
as said, tried a filter and it ran slow as fuck... dont need one really
Yeah, just think of all the Supercars that don't use or need them.
Veyrons
Ferraris
Porsches
Lambos.
Oh no......wait....

How comes no one said to bigron about not running a filter
look what happened there!
Hang in a second, did he not have issues because he had gauze over the inlet pipe, which fell apart, not strictly due to having no filter?

Pretty sure speckys tigra used a lot more air than a V6 and was a beast. 600bhp iirc.

You didn't you ran a filter element scrunched up in the inlet which will cause issues a decent filter not an argos or ebay £5.99 special will work which iirc it was. it may sap a couple of BHP but for saving the engine i would run one.
Its completely different on a big powered car too which yours isn't its a shoddy corsa with a V6 in it

Pretty sure Specky removes the filter for the run, it's only on in the fire up lane and paddock.

Vrsturbo is only jealous as your car is vastly faster than his jed, and vastly cheaper, oh and you did it yourself.

on with everyone else saying it looks crap - a little bit of work will make it much better...
As for the lack of filter - i ran no filter on my XE (all be it on throttle bodies) for over a year with no issue... that also ran like crap with the sock filters on
Granted theres a risk, but its not stupidity imo, just preferance and im sure he knows the risk

Yours doesn't need to run down a strip it's got shit stuck all over it already.

Drive it up the strip then the nearest scrap yard. Job done. Wouldn't spend any more money on parts.

Lol vrsturbos car is cool and he has pics of doing work himself... Infact he has done a good bit himself to what looks like a very good standard..
But in regard to jed id run filterless... Granted with a proper filter it wouldnt sap that much power like his home brew jobby but it would still sap some..
Bigron doesnt run any filter so if its good enough for him then im sure its fine on jeds £100 v6 that could be replaced super easily
