I feel my car is a bit of both. Doesn't look modified but you can tell it not a normal sensible car. But don't see many young people driving them so a bit old man. Probably ideal for my age and not an expensive posh car that could be a deposit on a house.

I've got a Clio 200. Cup spoiler etc.

I'll have it a few years, then probably take the cup spoiler off etc and tone it down. Fit in with traffic more etc.

26 this year. I have no intentions of selling my corsa unless it breaks again. My second car that I use for work is aŁ280 modified corsa. I work at HSBC, so get some weird looks sometimes, heard one of their husbands mutter something before, but he shh when I turned around.

I would like a better run around for reliability etc, and if I was to break up with current mrs I would feel bit bad picking another person up in it, but this corsa does the job, 1.6 so can keep up with traffic just fine, so not bothered about that side of it. If people want to judge me that quick, then that's their problem.

Few of my mates go get out of their aces really regular for fun, that's up to them, I could also say they're probably bit too old for doing that constantly, but their life/choice so I don't really GAF, and join them now and again

More peer groups and work colleugues, altthough it's a daft statement really if you look at it deeply as everyone is bothered to some extent about their image as if not they'd live in the cheapest most practical clothes, cut their own hair and not care what anything looked like, which is nobody on here.

I only care what car people think, not people who say they are into cars but have nothing to do with them other than buying one.

I still crave 80's to early 90's hatchbacks at 30 (golf 205 gti 5 turbo etc) Standard though no modified pish!

Kinda want to buy one now and stick it in the garage for occasional good times and hopefully it will go up in value.

I'm 24 at the end of the year and I do keep thinking, am I too old to have a corsa now, but I think I've got a good few years left yet lol. And I love it far to much to sell it! So think ill carry on using it as a daily then when I think I need to grow up ill get a daily and save the corsa for weekends

This.

The people who say they don't care what other people think probably have job centre type jobs (since image is everything) and are trying to justify still driving around in a small modified car at 30.

That said, I'm 26 and I'd feel a muppet regardless of what other people think.

Modified is fine, just not small shopping cars or sCeNe styling.

i dont think its weird, if you remap a car thats modifying and i see no issue with remapping cars to get more out of them etc.

obviously sticking massive alloys and what not on is less acceptable.

I cant see the problem. Drive what you like at whatever age. Dress how you want to at any age. Does it really matter. People will judge anyway no matter what you do. Lol I still drive a modded corsa at 28(nearly) and it doesent bother me one bit. Yes if i wanted i could buy something standard and boring but whats the point.

I'd say your car was perfectly acceptable to rock up to work in.
