your body can process what 10-12+ litres of water a day can't it? I was told its more the quantity you consume in one go than say drinking 5-6 litres over a 16 hour period of a day being awake and active.
Basically, water intoxication and people talking about it aren't really talking sense russ?

On average I'd guess I drink 4-6 litres a day. I feel perfectly fine.

Calm down big boy. This is all about sharing experiences, correct?
I was on about 6 litres a day for 5-6 weeks an became ill. I was diagnosed with water poisoning and told not to drink as much. After reducing my consumption, all symptoms went away within a week. I am now telling of my experience.
Any documentation I can find anywhere online suggests the same. It's true that our kidneys can handle larger amounts of water, but for extended periods (or indeed very short periods) it might be a different matter.
Essentially you could go in to a coma and die from drinking water nonstop before getting near your body's actual daily limit, similarly you can fall ill from having excessive amounts daily.
Lastly, if you actually look at my reply you'll see that you've misquoted me. I never said "3 litres a day will give you water intoxication", I said there's rarely reason to drink more than 2.5 litres a day.
If you're happy about drinking more, good for you. That doesn't change my advice.
K thx bye.
