Organising a stag at the moment and for that it is perfect.

Fuck emailing/texting/phoning 30 people. No cheers. One post on FB = everyone informed.

What about when you have people living in several different places across the country. A phone would be shit and retarded way to sort things.

For instance me and my mates sort football matches/nights out/general activities on there. You start a group chat then everyone can chime in, in real time and theres no need to go back and forth ringing people when someone suggests something that might change the plan. That would be a royal pain in the arse.

Much easier, start a group chat, post something, then everyone can add their view when they get the chance and we can all see what other people are saying at our own convenience.

Whats gay about that? Thats just using your head and using technology to make life easier.

Too many people trying too hard to be cool and different

Johhny and Nath, stop being gay!

If you can't be bothered to even text or email your mates, then you can't like em very much.

Tbf, you could do the same with Whatsapp/Skype or any other 'group chat' IM.

Slightly off topic but doodle.com is incredibly handy when trying to sort out 'catch ups'; makes life so much easier.

Everyone has FB. Not everyone has Skype. Why add another program into the list when you can just use something that the vast majority of people check every day. I certainly dont log into Skype 24/7. Facebook is much more convenient because you post something and everyone can check it when they wish, and read back on convo that they've missed.

Whats more gay?

Talking to people you know in real life about real life social events you are going to attend in real life?

Or

Talking to randomers you dont know in real life & arent likely to meet in real life about absoloute bollocks?

If anything, the weirdoes are the ones who spend a lot of time on here, not the ones who utilise facebook to make life easier.

Group messages on fb are the best thing ever. No more relaying messages, it's awesome

The vast majority then Mr Pedantic. I bet more people have facebook than any other group chat options. This makes it the best option

I agree Bookface is handy for arranging stuff. I get left out of the loop all the time when it comes to get togethers etc as i'm not on it.

It's just all the other shit that comes with it that i dont like so don't want to be involved.

plus i'm scared i may get bullied an kill myself

Whats the other shit out of interest? Cant say FB has provided me with much in the way of hassle. Certainly not enough that would make me want to forfeit all the positives of using it.

I could understand if you have a job that would be put in jeopardy by putting the wrong type of stuff of there but i literally only use it as a place to talk to my mates, and upload photos, i probably update my "status" twice a month in a busy week

Good lad

It must be the Scottish air that's driven you round the twist then.

Us soft lot can't cope with it the way the likes of Eck can.

What do you think people did before the internet? They would phone each other and probably meet somewhere (pub possibly) and sort it out face to face so if someone did have a different idea they could all talk about it there and then.
