I only do 5k a year, so yes. Plus its usually not much extra if you go with the avg of 5ppm additional.

5000 miles a year would be more than enough for me.

This ones a bit cheaper at £193.31 http://www.newcardeals.ltd.uk/personal-lease-cars/skoda/octavia-hatchback/octavia-diesel-hatchback-20-tdi-cr-vrs-5dr-2922168
Have you found out that the extra mileage is 5p or are you just guessing at that?

Seen mention in some press reviews that sat nav was standard. It's not a £550 option, cruise is optional too as is iPod connectivity.
Getting pricier by the minute and not looking like such a good deal.
The wheels I mentioned where the 19" option known as Xtrem. These where a no cost option on Monday and have since disappeared entirely. According to the Internet they where only ever designed to be an accessory and never factory fit. They suit the car much better than the standard wheels, but as an accessory the alloys alone are £990 which means:
Metallic paint
Sat nav
Cruise
Adjustable passenger seat
Black line trim
iPod connectivity
Alloys (not including tyres)
Means a whopping £2800 in options alone.
On the plus side it comes with xenons standard.

Did they say anything about excess mileage. Is it worth sprucing it up for lease? Maybe the PCP deal but I wouldn't for a 2 year lease

Nope the quote wasn't that detailed tbh.
I will be going back to them Monday and finding out.
Went to local Skoda dealer and they had no vrs. So looked at a normal Octavia and was hugely impressed. Gutted the 19"s aren't an option as they make the car tbh.
Can't decide if red will be too much on the estate also

The dynamic suspension that you see in all the reviews controlled through the sat nav screen, is none of that standard?

I know it probably doesn't come in vRS guise, but the Superb is well, superb. So much room in the back.

Test drove one, astonishing. So much car for the money, feels no bigger than my E36 on the road, reasonably pokey (tdi) and the space inside is incredible. Managed 52.2mpg on test too with the car that had 1000miles on the clock.
Skoda doing 0% which is pretty decent.
Not sure if it may work out as too much for me currently, but I am very, very tempted.

Lightcliffe Warrington have got their first hatch in.
Mine goes in for service on Thursday and I tried to get one for the day but they couldn't spare one all day. They are going to sort me a test drive out though.

Speaking to a master tech mate of mine on Saturday and he's interested in them, he's got a petrol Mk2 VRS now.
He said they are coming back with very stupid electrical problems/gremlins such as warning lights coming on for no reason and when they hook then up there's nothing to be found. He's going okay to keep an eye on them for a few months and see how they go.
I drove the last shape but didn't like it as much as the Mk2

Not impressed. Seats feel like got seat covers on 2000miles and baggy already. 184bhp diesel and feels bit flat. Best bit of the car is SatNav great user interface.

Was behind an estate version coming to work this morning.
Front end looks much better than the rear.

Had a look round one of these at the weekend. Interior is great, front end looks spot on but the rear... the overhang is massive and it doesn't look quite right
What are the alternatives though? The 2.0 TFSI version has 220bhp, the only rival I can think of is the Focus ST, I'm sure nobody else does a small estate you can buy nearly new for 20k with a decent amount of power.
