why you not giving the ful plates out?

Also no point me sleeping with the keys as I'm a deep sleeper anyways so could come into my room and not disturb me.

Mine are kept in the kitchen along with my grandfathers, however my car isn't nowhere to be seen near my house so it'll take a while for them to find it.

Mines never has much petrol in it, so they wouldn't get very far. Could probably put up a chase on a push bike and it would run out of fuel.

Is that not a pain for yourself? I guess even if you didn't notice the car being taken, the thieves would have to go to the petrol station, where the CCTV might be able to pick them up. Not sure how much CCTV really helps, but hey better than nothing! And if they don't the police would be informed quite quickly, maybe even before you reported it stolen.

Sorry to hear about your cars dude. Hopefully they turn up in the next few days! It makes me soo angry that people think it's okay to steal things people have worked hard to buy!

Not really as i don't do much miles in it. It does about 21mpg so with the petrol that is in it at times, it wouldn't last long.

I leave my keys downstairs, if they want the car enough to break into the house then I'm not going to try and stop them.

don't do that - if they want your car they will assault you for it. Happend to a guy in work for his Golf GTI and held him at knife point for his keys.

Keep them out of sight from outside. Police said they always have common places to check - i.e hall cabinet, kitchen etc

Had both ours cars done in 2010 - keys downstairs. VXR did 9 miles and left on an estate to see if it had a tracker. chances are if they organised gang the VXR will be left for at least 24hrs to see if the tracker was activated. We got the VXR back within 36 hrs

1 series did 780 miles over 10 days and used in an armed robbery

Keep a knife next to you at night too then, give the robbing c***s a taste of there own medicine.

Hidden kill switch under the dash

Even the keys are useless if they don't know about the switch.

Obviously on £20/30/40k + cars you dont want to be sodding about with the wiring and cutting the dash up, lol, but still...

Do you have scooters? I'd feel a right cunt putting £5 in. Wouldn't be worth driving to the petrol station.

I feel like a pikey if I put £10 in, has to be more or it looks like you can't afford to run the car IMO

A fiver is proper council estate poor, is that not the minimum you can get from a pump? Takes more than that to fill the jerry can for the lawnmower.

Minimum is 2 litres.

Remember the good old days when £3/4 used to fill a jerry can.

I normally put £10 in, sometimes £20.

Wouldn't want to chance putting more in.
