It's most likely due to the scrappage scheme. When that initiative began, getting 2k for a battered old corsa b seemed sensible, so loads went to the scrapyard.

Hardly see any around now. Maybe 1 or 2 a month, if that.

I did the whole build a fast Corsa thing in my early 20's but I have bought my GSi project to relive that bit of youth and have something that I can work on over a long period.

Would be great in a few years if the value increased but didn't buy it for that, have no plans to mod the engine, no point when my daily drive is over twice the power.

They aren't great to drive as they are 20 years old, same goes for old Ford's, no doubt a 1.3 MK1 Escort drives like a bag of shit but people still buy them due to the fond memories.

Actually thinking about selling my S14a now after reading this. Nothing will ever compare to the feeling you get in a Corsa in the bends. Truly awesome little cars IMO.

Corsa's are like marmite. You either love them or hate them. I'm 31 now and my first car was a Nova. But the seating position is horrible with the pissed steering wheel. But I do really love a correctly finished Nova. I only had mine for 5 months from passing my test and then I got a new Corsa SXi.
This was the first car I got into the modding scene with and met some good lads over that time that i'm still mates with today. So its really my boy-hood car.
I love the Corsa B, got a proper soft spot for them and will never part with mine.
But I couldnt drive one everyday. To uncomfy at my age

lol i still love mine (probs because its just been re-sprayed)

purely for the fact yes its not the best car out there, but as a cheap track toy thats road legal and pretty quick im happy with it and it does its job and its cheap to fix when it breaks
(ie last XE engine died, instead of rebuilding the engine, was cheaper to find another XE lump and swap it) same with gearboxes

only thing i want now out of that car....turbo boost, then it will be perfect, but for now, n/a 2.0ltr suits me fine

I picked one as a daily driver for my commute to save my "bigger better car" (defender) as I originally wanted a nova but theyre too pricey now... although I've just accidentally bought a shell lol

When you say too pricey, what sort of money are Novas going for Pinky? And do you mean all Novas, or just the flash ones?

Good ones drive beautifully actually Ian Really comfy and just pleasant. 1.6s are better though as they have nearly a hundred horsepower as standard and the 1.3s can be a bit underpowered, especially in non GT guise.

The best thing about a Corsa, is never knowing if it's gonna understeer into the hedge.

My C is a tiny bit more refined, I love it so much every time I get out of it.

Owned a corsa sport 1.6 16v for 6 months now, its totally standard with 74k miles on a s reg, really clean car with 2 previous owners(mother & daughter). Thing I like most about it is its really good on fuel and original (unmolested) . Bad points though are its shit around corners apart from that its a really good example of a genuine corsa sport, I'd love a newer car but couldn't force myself to sell it now, I'm attatched plus there aint many on the roads today, well I don't see many 1.6 16vs about.

I only had my Corsa B since the start of the year but have wanted one since i can remember.. could of got a newer car but wanted a B.

I learnt to drive in it and can genuinely see myself driving it into my 30's as my main car as its only on 45k

I drive mine and I'm in my 30s. Nobody on here will own a car faster than it, so I'm happy.
