so the ever reliable wayne veysey says Arsenal have a 5 man striker shortlist for Jan comprising Lewandowski (potentially realiostic if we offer BVB something absurd like £15m), Diego Costa (seems unlikely), Lavezzi (no thanks), El Shaarawy (great player, not really what we need though) and Llorente (who has started playing more now Juve are top)
Apparently we are close to signing this Salabria youngster from Barca, and Quagliarella is on the move in Jan, so could be an option for a make do.
Think lewandowski would be superb, assuming Bayern dont want him (as has been suggested since pep came in) and if we offered BVB and RL big money but still only see us signing support for Giroud rather than a direct competitor

If west ham dont get Quagliarella I think thats all you'll get. (Were linked with him in the summer, and supposedly in advanced talks with someone now, obviously not suggesting that he'd choose west ham over arsenal, but I doubt Youre linked with him anyway seeing as Theres generally every striker in Europe posted when Arsenal are mentioned) There's no chance you'll get anyone else from that list (Al sharaawy possible thinking about it, as AC are having a poor season, but hes not the mould of player you need anyway)
Iniesta in NOT moving to United shocker  Just signed a new contract. Who'd have predicted that?!

A Llorente/Ba/Quagliarella type player is most likely and the first 2 seem quite unlikely now. No we were briefly linked with him in the Summer too I think. El Shaarawy is a player Wenegr lvoes but as you say, hes not really whatw e need and hes not even playign for the poor Milan team at present.
Think BVB may well sell RL rather than let him go for nothing, they're basically out of the Budnesliga race already so might see it better to get soem money and re-invest it

We alsos till have Joel Campbell on loan at Olympiacos and doing well, who's never played a single minute for us. Plus Sanogo still injured, plus potentially this Salabria lad, so we may see Bendtner and Park go on loan in jan and still not see anyone else come in 
A big name, though difficult and expensive, would be a huge statement of intent if we are still top in jan!

Would take him in a heartbeat. His form dipped and he didn't get a chance to regain it. He needs to be the focal point to get the best out of him and that's exactly what he'd be at West 'am.

Traore has officially signed now, though. Very young and talented African guy from Burkina Faso. Played in pre-season, scored a couple, and looked a powerhouse. Actually does look 18 as well which is interesting

I don't know whether or not Jose had them both when he was at Inter, but I'll assume he knows what he's doing. Can't claim I know a lot about these two, though.
Essien could be on his way out, too.
As for David... It's a difficult one, Jose likes his defenders to defend... And with Luiz, you never ever know what you're going to get. Inconsistent you could say.
