I found the one i want. Its perfect.

Bad thing is, it's not for sale.....yet
Also, its the show home.

Good points other than liking it is that obviously the marketing suite is in teh double garage so its on the big side

The estate is built though so i cant see what use it serves

Depends if they are all sold. When the last one gets sold they'll probably want shot of it like a hot coal.

I found all of mine in the local weekly paper. I've also been into all of the independent local estate agents who know what we've got and what we're looking for so they call me about once a month with a few properties that I might be interested in.

That said I've been on RightMove this week looking around and I've found a stunning place that I've fallen in love with.

something will come up eventually, you just have to be patient.

Glad it's not just me then!

Haven't actually been to look at any so that may change things, need to get a mortgage in principle first aswell before they'll do viewings don't you? Will also help to see what I can afford although I have a good idea based on other guys my age from work.

I'm not sure on the mortgage principle, but I do remember getting a ''mortgage promise'' from halifax that took about 30 minutes to get.

It didn't tie us into a contract, just said they would let me borrow up to a certain amount.

Worth doing to show you're serious I guess.

I've heard of some estate agents telling you that a mortgage in principle is required before a viewing, I'd tell them to fuck off.

Surely to make an offer, it goes without saying that you need to have an offer in principle?

Yes, but to view you shouldn't need one.
