The v8 has around 120bhp more than the 2.3 ecoboost.

A lower capacity v8 would most likely have the same (or less) bhp than the ecoboost, aswell as less torque.

Great for pub chat with your mates, not so great elsewhere.

Doesn't make sense in this day and age.

I think he means the fact they're everywhere in the states, like mondeos are here.

I hope most of you realise that most performance cars will now start coming with smaller capacity and charged engines. This will be the first of many

Why would anyone want to run a v8 over here when the 2.3 is only 120bhp less? A few tweaks and it will be just as quick without the running costs. Yeah it might not sound as good but oh well.

The V8 will drive better, better throttle response more fluid and better power delivery.

But it will be expensive

Why bother running a petrol car when a diesel can be faster? I'm fully aware of the benefits of a smaller, boosted engine, but fuck me it will be dull compared to a V8. A four pot will never sound as good as a V8 without jiggery pokery to make it sound better, and even then I doubt it will compare.

It may be better in every single department, except drama and excitement, and they are what a Mustang is all about.

Would be nice if they could make a fuel efficient v8, but unfortunately that won't happen.

Not one that appeals to the masses anyway.

I still think it's a stunning machine. Arguably the best looking car ford europe has produced in a very long time.

I'd have one, and would enjoy proving doubters wrong.
