Guy in our office was a cock with a massive ego.
I fpund a mannequin bust in manchester and thought thatll do because its fecking useless to a man.
Put some red tinsel on its nipples and vag and boxed it up.

Day came and he was spot on as predicted with 'yes the biggest one is mine'....opened it, confused, got laughed at by everyone, put it down and stormed back to his desk

As said, hes left now, so a girl took it home to put clothes on.

He couldnt figure out why it would ever be bought for someone, but thats the funny bit to me, why would it? Other than for someone to be made to look a fool.

Marc. You get two gold stars for epic mind games on this occasion

One for the ploy. One for the effectiveness.

I love it when wankers get their comeuppance.

Sorry Mister Boosh. That post has me quite baffled. Would you be so kind as to clarify it a little for me please?

Its quite simple...

We had a £5 limit for secret santa. Presents were to be given on 20/12/13.

On 19/12/13 i ordered a takeaway, including an extra pizza and garlic dip.

The extra pizza and garlic dip were placed in the fridge overnight. The next day i wrapped them up and gave them to my giftee - stevie

He was happy with the gift... And consumed the pizza and garlic for his dinner

What an incredibly considerate, practical and thoughtful present

I was initially confused, as when you referenced 'the lad' I thought you might have meant a male offspring of yours.

My confusion was further enhanced by the use of the phrase 'his bait'.

I had an image in my head of a five year old with a pizza on the end of a fishing line!!!

Well not exactly... A bacon sarnie whilst working on the car or a packed lunch whilst fishing could be bait

Interesting stuff, but it's vague at best re your usage. It only confirms the fact, rather than documenting the origin or reason for the usage.

Does your area traditionally or historically have it's industry based primarily in fishing/trawling?

It seems strange that an area so apparently unrenowned for fishing, has a common fishing term in seemingly regular usage as a descriptive for a daytime meal, consumed by it's inhabitants. That's all really.
