I broke even and everyone was happy! Had a boss car for a few months.

Will of cost them money to collect the car. In fares and someones time as it a business. They will have come back if anything is wrong. Tbh they are taking a risk. You got an easy sale. No one pays full asking price so they might make a little money from it. But nothing life changing.

If they bought it for 10k, the profit margin in that, it's not worth the hassle..

I knowingly sold my 10' Civic Type R back to Honda, I think they ended up selling it for £50 more than they bought it from after a few price drops.

I ended up speaking to the Honda dealers' brother (coincidentally was the vaux dealer who sold me the corsa) about it and he said sometimes dealers just want a specific car on their stock list, brings people in and stuff like that.

At the time I sold the Civic, they had just gone out of production and apparently Honda just wanted as many of the used ones on their shop floors as possible, even if they weren't particularly worth the time or space.

Could be similar with the d'Evo, the guy just wants one in to catch the eye of people driving past. When they come see how rusty it is, and realise it doesn't go round corners anymore - they go buy whatever other shit he's got in the back.
