///M coupe Robin?
Carbon airbox, cams and remap should see 350bhp+ and sound like half a Mclaren F1

Looking at Z4Ms, Z3M I'd love but they're just too old
Drove a new (Estoril) M135i on Sunday and loved it but it was a little bit too expensive.

The Z4 is lovely, coming down a bit in price now too.
Similar mods available, unsure on weight though and definitely not as exclusive.

But it certainly doesnt have the wow factor, being wrong wheel drive and having a 4pot motor and Mk1 Focus looks.
Rwd sucks ass anyways I take it you meant its the mk1 you'd prefer
I just don't get the big fascination of BMWs.
What about the B7 RS4???

Having had a modern BMW I do 'get it' but I want to make sure I make the right choice.
RS4 is on the list.

I personally think you would be bored with the M135i. No doubt it's. Cracking wee car, but it's designed as a no fuss hot hatch that is crazy quick with suitable balance and feedback whilst retaining a level of comfort etc.
I say again, lease a hum drum every day car and spend the cash on something that was designed to go quick in the first place.
And preferably mid engined (sorry Tom!)

The one I looked at had £2k knocked off it last week as the dealer has an M3 and M5 coming in so needs the space. Still £24850 though with 6k miles on it.

The lease deals over xmas were about 10k total cost for the 2 years, including the 3 or 4k you had to put down.

I know, but that deal was far too good to pass up. Was one of the ones that it would have been mad to buy instead of lease.

Cayman S would be nice, I was looking at them again recently, will definitely get one at some point.
How not practical can you get away with? Hatchback will be much better than any of the 2 seaters. Boxster was a pita if you were out somewhere not intending to buy anything big, but ended up getting something.

20k on a car... Fuck that!
That is a good deposit on a rental property.

That's a nice list. Massive differences tho in terms of running costs. 2ltr turbos upto a 6.3ltr v8
The Beemers wouldn't be considered tho.
There's only 1 car that jumps out at me there C63 AMG
Other than that I'd have either the S3, mk2 FRS or RS4.

Yep, a rental property doesn't get you to and from work though.
