28 with a clean licence, and missus is 23 with a clean licence.
£1400
Insured the astra gsi turbo for 400 odd with the 2 of us on it.

You must live in some dodgy as fuck area or something.

I pay monthly so adds on a fair bit. Think it was £560 one off payment.
Will only be paying £350 for my new car, Mk 1 Seat Leon Cupra 20vT.

I wouldn't be paying £700 for anything that was less than £100k to buy at 27.

I drove one for a while, found it dull and pretty lifeless if I'm honest. They handle really well, but are pretty slow. Buy a 182 instead

I pay monthly too and iirc, it added on £50.
Suppose it depends who you go with but i would be staying away from a company adding on about £150.

These insurance prices are crazy. I pay 500 for mine. Any more at my age would be silly.

I caught a bit of that. Sounded quite nice when they put the foot down.

Nup, just wouldn't pay it. I know it's different for everyone and completely dependant on postcode and the random number generator they use, but I've been not bad for insurance since I was about 21, just wouldn't pay that much anymore.

Highlands of scotland, and read the other comments.
I paid just over £400 for an astra gsi turbo (300 odd bhp with all mods declared), with me and the missus on it, 0 no claims and just back from a 6 month ban.
The focus st170 was an utter disaster as far as insurance quotes go
