Also good 2.5 V6 engines and about as quick as a 172/mr2
I had one of these for a bit. Was really cheap to buy and good fun to drive. Only problem was everything rattled inside. Was a 10 year old car so can accept a few rattles here and there but everything did. Rear view mirror, ashtray, glovebox, CD player. Absoloutely everything and they all made a slightly different noise. Drove a couple and they've been the same.

I have heard people complain of this before, although mine doesn't suffer from it

Horrendous bumper but I like the wheels
Also Nardi wheel and tan leather although not as good as a gen 1

Been reading up more on MX5s and the general consensus seems to be:
If going for a 1.6, get a mk1.
There isn't much between the mk1 1.6 and 1.8.
If going mk2 get the 1.8.

May have to eat my words about saying I'm not a fan of tan leather.
A decent one has come up local in British Racing Green, tan leather interior, wooden gear knob, handbrake and steering wheel. Looks the absolute bees knees.
Been chatting to the owner a bit and it should be up for sale in a couple of weeks after he's finished doing some work on it. Not getting my hopes up but it seems to be a good, rust free example.

It's a 1993 Jap import (Eunos Roadster). Top model with air con, power steering, abs etc.
Completely rust free on the arches and sills, all original metal and has been rust proofed. Low miles too: ~61,500.

Nice one Nibnob! Best colour/spec.
Need pics of the Nardi wheel please
Stick some wheels on it, seem to be some sort of mini racelights or whatever they are called that people stick on them that look good. Mazda had one on their stand at Geneva the other week, looked the business, not got the shots here they are at work let me see if I can find you one online...

No to tonneau cover and luggage rack, but some gold wheels with a polished rim are already on my want list. Not sure whether to go minilites style or BBS type style. Don't think I'm too fussed to be honest, would quite like 14s instead of 15s though.
Here's an interior pic for you Jambo:

Cheers guys I am pretty happy with it, mainly with how immaculate the arches and sills are!
You don't need to know the exact figure I paid, but it was around the top of my budget. Insurance was less than expected too so that freed up a little more cash for the car.
