Do you think? I think it's quite tacky really. Doesn't need four exhausts... maybe it's one exhaust per £10,000 the car costs.

I have this problem. My previous car was a Y 2001 plate, I updated to a 56 plate and it felt like I'd bought a nearly new car. Only when I reminded myself that 56 was 7 years old did it make me feel sad again

Although to be fair, a 7 year old car is the newest car I've ever been able to afford so I dont care

It has one exhaust does it not? 4 exhaust tips.

4 exhausts on a hatchback does look a bit ridiculous tbh and the wheels are pure Halfords.

Nice colour though.

Like saying an E46 M3 doesn't need 4 exhaust tips.

It is the top of the range Golf in a similar class. Course it does.

A Golf is not the same as an M3, I don't care if they almost cost the same... all that means is the Golf is well over priced!

How are they not the same? Forget about ''the driving experience'', all joe drug dealer bloggs cares about is pub figures. I don't know what the golf does 0-60/0-100 in, but it's probably not too different to what the m3 does.

This is legitimately the first time I've ever heard of the Golf R being compared to an M3 is this some kind of in-joke? There's another thread in General Chat atm discussing how much of a rip off the Golf R is, I've never heard of people saying the M3 is a rip off?

Don't know why m3s are treated like some kind of god like object.

They are just supped up 3 series with a badge on it, in the same way this is a supped up golf with a badge on it.

I wasn't comparing the two together, I was comparing the two as models in their respective guise i.e. R is top of the range Golf, M is top of the range 3 series. Hence why the Golf can warrant 4 exhaust tips.

Crikey, people bit tetchy in here.

Warranting something is okay, but it still looks ridiculous imo.
