It's only a matter of time before we start sending troops over, then cue the Facebook status' about soldiers getting paid less than footballers etc etc.

When things kick off the UK will do absolutely nothing in a military sense and rightly so.
What they will do is make a lot of noise about how wrong their actions have been, same as the US.

Anyone rekon putins actually gonna do anything other then flex his military muscle? He says he is there to protect native russians so why would HE start an all out battle? Ukraine wanna defend themselves but their military is small compared to Russia - if i were Ukraine and Russia wanted Crimea back id say fook it and let them have it, Ukraine is big enough anyway
what do you think will happen? pretty interesting shit tbh

Putins speech earlier stated he isnt going to send troops into Ukraine.
He said he would support a properly elected govt. by the ukraine people, and that this govt. wasnt legal as it was a result of being over thrown by rioting rather then a proper election.
Tbf I think he has a point

He has got a point IMO. The western media are trying to spin it that the Russians are returning to their old ways. If they do then fine, i'll admit i was wrong but that isn't what appears to be happening at the minute.
It's all a matter of perspective. Let's say for a minute that the IRA/Sinn Fein overthrow the Northern Irish assembly and instate their own government. Do you think for 1 second that the British Army wouldn't take control of key buildings and flood the area with troops while a proper government was re-established? I can guarantee that Putin wouldn't be sticking his oar in either.

Reports also just that Ukraine ministers have started consultations with Russian ministers at that level.
