No hassle motoring, warranty for the entire term etc., that's very cheap.
£152pm with £457 down.
Sure you'd spend more than that on a bit of paintwork, wheel refurb and a gearbox rebuild.

Without getting into the pros and cons of it all as its largely depending on circumstances and requirements but talking specifically about this offer and the marque of the car I can assure you that if you were to buy a used VXR and keep the car for two years you would be worse off. The depreciation alone (nevermind maitainence) would be more than the payments to 'rent' the car.

I love my cheap-as-chips used car, but I would take a lease/new deal on 0% for my missus every single time. It was a boggo Corsa D this time on 0%, will seriously consider something a bit sportier on lease next time around.

i cant imagine leasing/financing a car.. all my friends are into it, new cars all over the shop.. i'd much rather OWN an old B and modify it over time to make nicer

Modifying is just far too important to me. Owning a brand spanker would be awesome, but... kinda boring.

What are they new, £19-20k? And after two years a quick look on AutoTrader says £11k so £9k loss.
This deal over two years (putting down 6 months) at £4410 represents a huge ‘saving’ over buying a new one 'cash'.
Even if you bought the two year old one now for £11k, I bet you’d loose £4k in the next two years and have to pay if anything breaks, might as well have a new one.

To me it just shows what a massive rip off new cars are, they set the price to make all the renting deals work out like that.. Its all a con really.
i still believe the majority of cars are only worth £4-5k, as soon as the car you like reaches that price, thats the time to buy.

Cars are relatively cheap in the UK tbh, compare us to China, its 5k for a licence plate in shanghai, then 5k for a tata looking thing,

Someone at work commented how people treat cars like they do phones now. Prefer to be in a contract instead of psying for a phone outright.
Just sticking it out there. Doesn't really bother me. I think both options have advantages but you have to have the time and tools to really benefit from older cheaper cars.
Not going to tinker with my new car. Not even a remap etc.
