This one has done 54,000miles so far, Flywheel had to be replaced already.

Drove it for the first time today, bought it to work, can't say its great, makes me like the corrado even more, turbo seems to make noise when not really flooring it, (when should it be making a noise?)

Find it weird having no rev range. Hope i get used to it or i will be selling it.

I had planned to get a new car, but then parents bought a new audi, so i've got the old one for a bargain price i couldn't refuse.

Got over 40mpg today so thats a bonus i spose, usually about 24mpg on way to work.

I don't really think the turbos really make a noise

They make what people call a police Siren noise at lower revs and that usually means the turbo is on its way out.

Be careful of the boost pipes on the intercooler there known for popping off

Its making a bit of whoosing noise around 1200-2000rpm, seems to notice it making noise nearer 2000rpm, and can drive along with foot steady on accelerator and its sort of whooses and whistles a bit as if i'm accelerating then letting off.

bare in mind i've never had a turbo car, nor a diesel and driven the corrado for about 8yrs now.

Seems to drive ok, just notice the turbo more than i thought i would.

Can i check/log it in vagcom?

I don't think vagcom will show anything up, just drive it and see how you get on.

It does about 34mpg round town. It's pretty shit, faster than most hot hatches though on the open road. Real drivers car as it's a BMW 330d msport.

yeah, its very nice tbh

Not updated in a while, not really done much to the corrado, changed the clutch recently but still have clutch problems, still have starting problems. Will be fitting a new engine so decided not to worry about the problems too much for now.

In the meantime i now have an Audi. Might show up in some old photos as its my dads old car. A3 2.0TDI, 54,000miles, needs a proper valet/paint correction but i haven't bothered yet.

State of the paint work

Cleaned corrado again, pic of it next to dads new A3

Is it the BKD engine?

If so, put some money aside for things breaking.

My dad had one, had just about every common problem go wrong with it.

Head cracked, injectors, injector seals (causing failure of the turbo/head) dodgy idle,

The wooshing from the turbo could well be a dodgy pipe connector.

Check the ones onto the intercooler, the one behind the drivers headlight has a habit of coming loose.

Yeah its the BKD, i looked at the list of problems and its put me off the car a bit, knowing my luck it will break and cost loads.

Already had the flywheel and clutch replaced due to problems. I've not even opened the bonnet since i've had it Really tempted to lower it or at the least stiffer the suspension a bit, Don't like the gearing or the power delivery either.

Its nice and pleasant to just drive normally from a to b, but not fun to try and drive fast etc, Has made me enjoy the corrado much more.

They're nice for journeys.

Gears are quite short, and runs out of puff quite quick.

Seems the BKD was a bastard engine that was in production between upgrades. he's had no luck with his

Like all cars though you get good and bad ones, maybe you'll have no problems at all.

I hope so, don't really want to spend any large amounts of money on it.

Just ordered some wind deflectors for it

Had the audi a while now, done 10,000miles in it already. Only had to replace a fuel temp sensor, an intake manifold motorized flap thingy and deleted the EGR system, and two tyres

Audi sport is a funny forum, been on there quite a bit but notice alot of it is people talking about a car they have ordered or thinking of ordering, very boring.
