Prefer the standard wheel colour, but even so, this is the best new car thread in ages!

The amount of tech on it would scare me for fear of it going wrong, but as long as it still drives, it doesn't matter too much.

What sort of price you looking at for the st?

Nice choice - I looked at the V8 but went for the Cl V12 instead. Just for info my ABC pump was playing up and a replacement was £1600 without fitting! (fortunately mine started working again!)

Here's mine:

Sam you have the coolest taste in cars.

That's pretty much the spec I want. I want the boring 5spoke AMG wheels tho.

Cheers Jambo - feel free to go to comment in my other thread too to save hijacking Chris' thread!

Oh and Chris, I'd recommend getting an aftermarket warranty if you can!

Preferred the original wheel colour it breaks up the car better . Bet it's comfortable to drive but I wouldn't be able to cope with the fuel bills . Can you get a gas conversion on it ? Did he own car from new ?

Nice Merc. I'm currently saving for an SL. I really want a 55 amg but will probably just get a 500. All the other models seem to be really cheap and proper bargains but the SLs hold their money Im just not ready for a massive 4 door saloon like that lol.
Thanks

Can you get warranty covers for cars over 10 years old? Mercs can get so expensive when they break

Not sure £3kish at a guess as it needs new tyres. Anyless than that and i'd probably just split it!

I have a flat to finish rebuilding and a little one due in November, so no money will be spent on the car unless it needs it! Spent £500 on a pram yesterday!

E55's were around the same price when I was looking at them in January?!

I do around 2k miles in a car a year now, so not to worried! Have a 125cc scooter that gets me to work and back. No, he bought it in 2007 when it was 4 years old at 37k miles.

Also, the ST did around 18mpg. Im expecting this to do around 15mpg ish. So not the end of the world + It wont do many miles anyway!

I saw a c63 today in Eastbourne, he wasn't hanging about near the town centre, they sound great.

Mate of mine has got a clk55 amg and it sounds immense.

Yup!

This has tyre pressure monitoring valves which = hardly any valve sticking out of the alloy so I'm still waiting on an extender to turn up.

Only driven it home so far!
