It is, yes, but the main checkpoints are Manchester and London, as far as I know.

You sound like you're saying that can't be done? I've done it in 8 hours and that was driving between 50-70mph and loads of piss stops.

A guy with loads of money isn't going to care less about doing double the limit to the checkpoints.

Going by the link i posted, it looks as if Edinburgh is a main checkpoint. Arrive mid-day, show off the cars, party at night, then parade away the next day.

There is 24 hours in a day, so even if that were the case, 8+3+3 still leaves 10 hours.

I probably shouldn't be sharing the convoy points for obvious reasons, but if a couple of guys off here wanted to drive along the motorway at the same time as a load of other nice cars, then I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem

Nice one :-) I've just been out and bought some two way radios the morning, apparently everyone uses them to keep on touch and share info etc., everyone in the SCD club says they are essential for the convoys. I'm getting really excited now, plus the other cars that I'm convoying with to Manchester are all black too, will look pretty cool going down the motorway together :-D
