And the stroll through qualifying for a dismal tournament display begins

In general played quite well tonight. Good going forward, game should of been over for us by half time really. Had some cracking chances.

Stones has been overrun at right back though, still a weak spot for us, defence in general to be fair, but hopefully he'll keep the same back 4 through qualifying and they can build an understanding. Wilshire and Henderson need to build a hell of a lot too. Both were pretty quiet tonight. Delph did well after a dodgy first 10 mins, good energy at least which we always seem to lack

His back four should not include Jones. There is one of the most consistent, and solid CB's in the league playing for Stoke who should be there instead.

Also, Platini is as much of a prick as Blatter, threatening to ban Ribery if he doesn't accept an international call up due to some stupid rule they put in place. Bellend.

Not sure why there always seems to be a worry to include players from teams outside the top 6. Completely agree that shawcross should be there

I think Jones will grow into it. And seeing as we've basically got 11 friendlies to qualify now, may as well get a settled team and build relationships between centre backs, midfielder etc...

Although, do agree with Shawcross currently being better

Without Bale they'd be utterly fucked. Fantastic free kick too!

Lord heavens no I do not rate Jones in any facility. He has poor decision making, and that rash judgement gets him injured. I'm all for swashbuckling displays of tenacious tackling, but Roy Keane he will never ever be. I don't see him as a defender, and his passing makes him a poor midfielder.
