What's with all the tax talk? That's pretty normal.
They look ok actually, for a girl.

Normal as opposed to what? A Suzuki Swift Sport for example is less. What do you think its normal against, baring in mind its a 90 odd bhp 1.6?

If that's the case then why don't you get something that's altogether better? A P1 172 will be faster, better handling and is better on fuel. Same tax too.
Edit: Also, less prone to rust, easier to change things like bulbs and no worse for interior quality

I'd much rather be in a crash in a Clio than a Ford Ka
The 25mpg around town in the Ka will soon balance the costs too
They look good, but looking at common problems and general running costs, there are far better alternatives. But go for it and let me know

I've got a car that does MPG, I just loved the rawness of the old one and it just lacked a bit of pace! The crash my fault

If you want raw fun, get an EG Civic VTi. Same sort of price, same sort of MPG, but hilarious to drive. VTEC is hugely addictive.

Sport KA's are a right hoon to drive. Mate had one for 18 months, handle like they're on rails and quite pokey.
As said though 172 is a better shout

I'd say so 27.2 are the official Urban figures. 37mpg combined is awful too for a small engined car that weighs less than a ton.

I was always at the GF to get 1 but she wasn't having it. Would look pretty good lowered with some wide spacers to bring the wheels out into the wide arches.
Local lad (you will probably know him Eck) has 1 with a 2.0 Zetec in it and its meant to be a wee weapon.

How can you not think £265 a year is a lot for a 1.6 90bhp small city car?!
They are cheap because they are pricey to run and rot.

Still not as much to tax as a 2006> 1.3 RX8.

Exceptional logic.
If you really don't care about shelling out money because you already buy posh coffee then buy a decent car to begin with and not an old Ford.

Tbh the whole thread was looking for anyone who had driven one to see if they are as fun as the internet tells me and ebtter than the KA I've already had experience of. I'm talking sub 1k to buy and insure one, I'm likely to keep it for 6 months so the cost of the tax doesn't bother me. I just want something to bomb about it and act like a 17 year old again without spending loads and loads of money
