You have to compare by class so e class is the same class

The e class has cheaper plastic but the seats are the biggest let down with cheap feeling leather in the mercs unless you pay to upgrade

Just over 1 week in and managed to get comfy now

Not really done that many miles as I have been working away but it's very economical getting close to 60mpg on longer runs

Went to London this weekend and just got over 58mpg with 1hr 20mins getting through London City centre from Greenwich

Long terms is just over 51mpg but only 1200 miles in

thats brilliant. Ive been happy reecently going to work in comfort mode and getting 20mpg If i thrash it seems to be 14/15.

That's some impressive figures considering its not the smallest engine or car.

I have the fords 170 2.0tdci and struggle to get more then 47mpg completely different cars I know but a huge difference in fuel.

why would i lie

It did 820 miles and I filled the car up and it took 68 lites so that's 55mpg in real world

Have you done a brim to brim comparison?

The computer is inherently inaccurate so I'd be interested to see how close it gets.

Very impressive nevertheless, that's a big car and its making five year old superminis look thirsty.

Yes Ian on 820 miles from a full tank and it took 68 litres to fill back up
