350z?
Then when a well known high performance car gets stolen, you can join in with the posse and hunt it down.

Theyre only 2 seats and a bit slow
Might seem a bit contradictiry here but if its a modern it needs to be fastttt
Early nineties then not so much
Mrs thinks i should buy a corsa b to drive while i do mine - a let but think i want rwd so can have best of both

Miss a "fast" car for days out with family and a nice drive
Insignia is bland - costs me £110 pm - may swap for astra £30 pm and then in essence get a free fun car

E30 325i Sport. Go sideways for fun.
Spend £5k on an old classic though and you will struggle to sell it quick if need be.

Are you tripping? Spend 5 grand on a classic and providing its a decent car why would you struggle to move It on? He could buy a saph cossie today for 5 grand and have it sold again for atleast his money back within a week if he wanted too, just depends what you buy.
Definately need something cool and 80s 90s for sunny days and weekend that's when all the cool stuff comes out and people see them and love it, wouldn't go modern and wouldn't go for something like a corrado either , mk2 golf 20vt would be cool,
Unfortunately I'm not ready to part with the cav yet

Should have said depending on what he buys.
RS Fords aside, what else has a huge following that would sell easy? I'm struggling to think of many tbh.

And by the looks of things, you will struggle to find a Saph Cossie worth owning, for £5k.

Any classic car like an E30 will sell within a few days.
At that budget I'd be looking at E36 m3, ek9 type R, 2dr scooby type r, crx vtec (very limited back seat), cav gsi is a cool option as well.
Most old cars like this are seriously expensive now so if you wanted something a bit newer (most are boring), I would look at an r53 cooper works.
Why do you need to take your mrs and kid in it by the way? Have you not got an isignia or something practical to use when needed?

If a cav is what you want then just keep searching, it'll be a good choice anyway.

After my experience trying to shift an excellent condition L.E 205 Gti 1.9 for £1200, I would have to disagree with your 1st statement.
Cult classic, rare, huge following supposedly, yet it took me months to sell it. Had pretty much zero interest, 2 enquiries and the 2nd viewer bought it.
