I wouldn't be giving him your address fuck that right off.
I would open the dispute in eBay not PayPal that's how I've always done it.
Best to keep messages on eBay and explain to him you've opened a dispute to cover yourself but your happy for him to collect it for your refund (could take forever to get your refund without the dispute case)
Note down serial number of the item and see if you can see the serial number on pictures in the original add to verify its the same thing.

He already has day work address from original shipping.
I opened it on eBay.
I haven't messaged him since I opened the dispute as his messages just got weirder. You reckon send him an email saying just covering my back?
Can't see the serial number on original add unfortunately.

I was thinking just send the email just incase he's a serial killer and you pissed him off really
Wouldn't bother though just leave it to eBay now

Bit of an update..
After opening the case he emailed me saying to "keep or bin it" as wasn't worth the return costs and repairs.
He apologised for the earlier emails and refunded me.
In the end was ok Might just keep for decoration
