That letter looks exactly the same as the one my dad received. He ignored it, no problems so far. Willing to bet it's the same company as he's only in Upminster.

You'll get letter from the court if any proper action is taken...then pay.

I'm getting them for a debt to British gas at the moment. Funny thing is I'm on oil here the nearest gas main is ten miles away!
I'm gagging to go to court tbh..

You only get a CCJ if
- It actually gets to court
- And you lose
- And you subsequently dont pay what the court demands

I've already said this, but, that shows how effective this scaremongering tactic is! People will literally pay money hand over fist because of a bit of bluff and bluster.

I know, it isn't me though and I know she's worrying.
If I get a letter from the courts, would it be for more money?
Is the reduced amount much less?

It'll likely keep getting reduced until it disappears

So they're just trying to get SOMETHING. Car was scrapped over a year ago, so they can't even check she still lives there

I had that too!
I had that also. Basically trying to scrape anything they can. A friend got a letter saying they'd take £20 and that would be the end of it. Hahaha

I got a letter like this ages ago got a few letters over about a year period saying things like bailiffs can retrieve possessions owned by me and another about getting taking to court for a parking fine worth £100, it wouldn't be worth there while taking you to court mate it would cost them more to get you there in the first place. after the court letter i never receive another. It was a family friend in the police who told me i didn't need to pay as at first i got a bit scared and nearly just paid straight away.

Remind me, did you identify the driver or are they still going on keeper details?

Exactly who's to say you even received the letter? Are they sending it recorded delivery? Even if they did, they have no record of the person driving at the time receiving the letter.
I still get the occasional letter at mine addressed to the previous owners who moved out 5 years ago. I never gave the cunt any of his mail, it all went in the bin as he was retarded enough to strip the bathroom of everything, meaning I had tiles with holes everywhere. Cunt.
