Update 15.06.16

Tonight I did abit on the car. Other day i took the calipers off, stripped them all down and painted them up. I did the drums too. I also painted all the arches up and fitted some new wipers i bought.

Pic of the car with disks and drums painted

Insides of disks painted

Drums painted

Both calipers painted

Brakes all fitted, still need to recondition all suspension.

One of rear and underneath

Wheels back on

And back on floor, front dropped 60mm

Rear still needs to come down abit

Punto rear wiper

New wiper blades and Tigra Skuttle, also put my Billing stickers from 2013 & 2014 on

One of the engine bay, painted the heatshield up silver. I painted tops of suspension up black so that's why bolts aren't on. Still needed to fit them.

And some of overall car

Still got little bits to do before Billing like sort front arches out so they sit flush with wing,i've sorted rear arches out tonight, fit new clear side repeaters when they arrive, fit new mats when the arrive and lower rear.

Inside the Arches look great, sprayed or done with a brush?

Like mine like that but black rather, although not sure how long it would stay like that with all the dirt on the road

They were done with a brush mate. Spray gets too messy as it's a confined space.

Yeah can imagine it being easier to paint it with a brush, doesn't look brushed though which is why I wondered

It's hammered paint rather than smooth as the hammered paint is darker than smooth.

Looking really good under the arches

Would love to do mine but don't see it happening before Billing, that's down a winter job for me when it's tucked away in the garage!

Did you strip the inner arches first or just clean them up and paint them?

I took the inner black arches out first, gave all insides a jet wash to get rid of all the loose mud etc, then brushed them up with silver hammerite paint. Will under seal them all after billing. Just want to get it looking something like for now.

The Vectra VXR is for my mate. He has a van he's selling and the lad with the vectra has offered a straight swap.
