Nothing exciting going on with this yet. Waiting for some money so I can chuck a vvt kit and chain on it. And start getting bits and bobs done before Justin tunes it.
Anyways. Painted my callipers black
No pictures really, it was a quick hammer it's job. Itl do the trick.
Fitted a new set of front pads, again nothing special just some padgids to get me by as money's a tight this close to pay day.
Then I finally got my bits from the edge auto sport group buy
Rocker box gasket and a forge v2
And in the other box is the gauge pods for the dash that I got of Nate at new age
Will be getting some Defi gauges next month I think and plumbing all that lot in. So pics to follow when I get the gauges.
Fitted my forge v2 my old one had a slight crack in the top of the plastic. It wasn't leaking but I thought it's best to be safe.
Anyways.
Boost gauge
Oil pressure gauge
Oil temp gauge
Cobb AP
VVT kit
Service
Spin on oil filter conversion
Sandwich plate
All to come sometime soon

Don't forget when looking for pads to check them against Focus ST pads, they were always cheaper to buy ST pads when I had my MPS, and they are the same caliper.

Same caliper as my vectra vxr then they also use st pads. Amazingly interesting.

So it's been a while but I've been doing little bits and bobs.
First things first. Front brake pads were on there arse. So they got replace. Just a set of pagids for now.
Next up. I ordered my Cobb AP and Autotech internals
Spoke to Justin. Got the ball rolling there and got my base map.
Fitted my HPFP internals today
Stripped
Old vs new
Amazed at how much shit is in the HPFP
And started getting my old exhaust off ready for my new one
Brand new one boxed and ready to fit
Will update tomorrow with the exhaust fitted and a sound clip

Finished up fitting the new exhaust today.
Will adjust it abit and straighten it up on the ramps in work tomorrow. But works sweet for now.
Sounds lovely. Nice burble to it. Not to loud either.
Old vs new.

Thanks chaps
Couple of little maintenance bits done today after work.
I've had the modified turbo oil feed banjo bolt sat in my tool box for months, waiting for an excuse to fit it.
Finally got that reason today
Last set of logs I sent off to Justin (the chap mapping it) had a little chunk of knock retard at WOT. Which clearly shouldn't be happening at this stage of tuning.
Justin suggested checking the plugs.
Although it clearly states in the history the plugs had been recently changed
I beg to differ.
Anyways
New plugs gapped to 0.7mm
And the turbo oil feed banjo bolt
Old vs new
And that's it for now.
I'm up to revision three of my map now. We think around 6 revisions should cover it.
So Asoon as I'm done I'll post some videos and virtual dyno runs before and after
That's it for now

Another bit of maintenance last night
NSF wheel baring has been noisey since the day I bought it. Never really bothered me. But a couple of days ago it started getting worse and worse.
So....
New wheel baring purchased and fitted. Genuine Mazda parts.... Because they worked out cheaper than an aftermarket part
Took about an hour but my god I'm glad I did it haha. That noise was driving me mad in the end.

So, not really done much with this since I finished mapping it.
New tig welder arrived today so I'll get some pipe ordered next week and get my decat pipe fabbed up.
I also got bought a new Rear engine mount for Xmas so that will be getting fitted about the same time.
One thing that has happened, I was driving on Monday and noticed a very strange wheel wobble. Wasn't an unbalanced wheel wobble. It was strange.
Got home and happened to notice this cut across the whole of the drivers side front tyre.
Didn't think much of it at the time, ordered a set of 4 new tyres anyways as these were abit old and running low on grip
Yesterday four of these arrived
Set about fitting them after work today.
Removed the drivers front wheel.... Found this greeting me
Couldn't get a picture that showed the sheer size of the bulge but once I took the tyre off I found this
It had ripped through all of the canvas and cords. And it was quite litterally just the soft rubber holding it together.
Scary scary thoughts
Anyways four new tyres and jobs a gooden

Probably a pot hole. Roads round Liverpool are pathetic
Although I havnt noticed any specifically hard impacts.

Seen that a few times, pot hole damage, or it's been run flat and then repaired by someone when it shouldn't have been.
