Yeah finally got this installed using the ISO. However recovering after the upgrade didn't do a fresh install! in fact it installed Windows 8 again (not even 8.1) so last night I ended up installing Windows 10, then Windows 8, then doing 150 updates (you had to install them around 20-25 at a time taking about half hour each time. Without these firmware updates Windows 10 wouldn't install) then Windows 10 again took me from 180 - 23:30!
Not a good first impression lol, but I'll finally get a play around over the weekend.

IIRC nvidia drivers are quite buggy while AMD is fine.
do you happen to have an nvidia card IvIarkgraham?
Ive just started the upgrade process on my work machine, however took an Acronis disk image just in case.

Bloody hell it's fast.
Not had much of a go yet but Edge seems decent... just a shame it's not multi-platform yet, which means I can't truly move away from Chrome at the moment.

The first two things I've tried to do don't work lol... any ideas on these!?
Can't get Twitter app to install, just says 'install' on the Store, so do so, it finishes and then tells me to install again. Have done this multiple times now. Have restarted the computer etc. made no difference.
Secondly... how do you add music to the Music app? I've created a playlist but can't drag and drop files in! It's found all my music, but I can't arrange it.

Probably a very retarded question, but here goes anyway.
I've got an acquired version of Windows7, it allows me to update and they all go through fine, never had a problem.
Got the icon to upgrade to windows 10, and says my hardware is compatible, and offers the free upgrade to windows 10, gives me the "reserve a copy" button... question is...
Am I right in thinking this would be a silly idea and would flag Microsoft to knowing that i've got a dodgy copy of Windows 7? OR should I just click on it and get them to email me?

As far as I know they want everyone on Windows 10 so are allowing hooky copies of Windows 7/8/8.1 to upgrade.

Works nicely, runs on the surface a dream. Had to overcome a couple of annoyances and install some of the software I want, edge can bugger off as I'm a chrome user with my Google apps account. Much quicker than 8.1. Took the opertunity to sync all my stuff up to google drive and redirect my desktop and documents etc to there.

download the media creation tool: http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
Options are burn to USB/Disc or upgrade your PC.
Obviously select upgrade, worked a charm for me.

Edge seems faster and smoother than Chrome but I have it installed in too many places and you can't swipe to go forwards/backwards in Edge which is just ridiculous! So I'll stick with Chrome for the time being...
