Peugeot partner or Citroen berlingo, the car versions not the vans. Pretty spacious for what they are and then don't have to have van insurance

Despite being partial to a bit of dogging, It'll mainly be used for a quick blast to work and back over the winter, but with the option for chucking bikes in the back, the dog, camping gear etc. for longer journeys.

Don't think you would get a double air bed and a dog in the back of an astra van, combo or connect. You will find a mwb transit for £1500.

A double blow up bed fits perfectly in a astra van, I know as I just to use mine for camping

You will however have no chance of fitting a large dog in as well.

Bed in the back dog on the front seat or in a travel crate outside. Most large dogs are quite happy outdoors (obvs the travel crate only work in fair weather)

His dog is a monster and assuming nice weather when you are going camping will always end badly

I've got a 7 and half stone Shepard Akita cross that I get in a corsa haha he's even got his own pop up Quechua tent

Went in a different direction in the end. Upped the budget a bit and have bought a 54 plate XTrail.

Haha, now the house purchase is confirmed I needed to get something else so the mx5 can come off the road and into the garage over winter. Got a long list of work I've got setup for it to tidy it up before next year. Not planning on tracking it, just giving it a bit of tlc.

The xtrail should he a handy runaround and great for the dog.

At least with the Xtrail you can trailer your car to tracks as well now. (Suppose you could've done that with the van too just looks pikey).

Around 90k miles.
Got receipts for new turbo and intercooler done recently.
Fresh MOT (couple of small advisories to sort).
SVE spec (second from top?), so heated leather seats and big panoramic sunroof plus a few other extras. Doesn't have the optional extra sat nav, which I'm happy about.

Got it for a good price as it was the bloke's dads and it was just taking space up on the drive so he wanted it gone. Even drove it to my house (about 30 miles) for free.

Can switch between 2wd, 4wd and locked diff as well, which I like.

Throw some injector cleaner through it, Renault DCI's love to eat an injector or two and it *can* help prolong the life of them.

Yeah already building up a small list of things to get for it. Going to give it a going over this weekend.

I always like to service a vehicle when I first get it regardless of history, just for peace of mind. Will be doing that over the next few weeks or so.

Interior was absolutely filthy, don't have any before pics, but I spent some time this weekend cleaning it all up. Pretty happy with the results.

Here's some brown grimey dirt coming out of the leather:

Also polished up the headlights to try and reduce the yellow staining. Just used my DA with a bit of Meguiars Ultimate Compound. Pretty happy with the results for 5 minutes work.
