I can see how at 18 having a BMW is impressive.

Personally, I'd get a Civic - or something along those lines.

Use the money left over to mod it and to pay for the insurance in your own name.

I agree with this, but not so harsh.

Its actually illegal in terms that you are the main driver on the named policy, insurance companies are wising up to this

Companies are not wise to this yet, but will be soon ...... i know.

Personally i like bmw coupes, but i don't like the yellow or the lexus lights.

Saying that those straight 6 24 valve ones go ok.....

If it were me, I'd get a civic esi or vti if i could stetch......

looking at it i would have no problem driving round in it.

But the white 318is may be an option as long as it's got decent wheels etc and proly cheeper on insurance cos' tbh neither of them are gonna be really fast ...

I say go for it. For all those out there who say they are shite, have you's actually driven one? or just voicing personal opinions?
I have and I can say I honestly liked it. They arnt the fastest 2.0 around but they are still quite quick with the VANOS 24v engine. At the end of the day its a BMW, Id rather have ANY BMW than a corsa any day of the week.

Girl in bar> So what do you drive

You> A Corsa.

Girl> Oh. right

Girl in bar> So what do you drive

You> A BMW.

Girl> Oh. Very nice! Can you show me the back seat later?

YOU> I'll see what I can do.
