They are no where near old enough yet.

Another 5 - 10 years they won't be worth a fortune but will do 'good' money for an old Corsa.

I never bought mine as an investment, I wanted one and have no plans to sell but I am certain I'll never lose any money on it.

Yeah yours was the first one in there as its the last post in that thread.

Decided to automate it as typing them in was taking too long.

This is about 30% of the 1994 vehicles, downloader thing crashed because there are too many

Fair few reg numbers to go get MOT history off, will automate that as well while its about 5000 cars of interest. I've included cars with ABS and PAS in the list because not all are listed as having a 1.6 engine.

Obviously most are going to be scrapped at 150k but it should answer the question of what is out there.

Yeah been meaning to do it for a while, got a list of Racing Pumas on the go. That's a big job as there are 500 cars and about 300 still to keep tabs on.

The Corsa one technically should be easier as although you're starting with more you can rule out thousands of them.

It actually scares me to think that they're so scarce, not sure what it is about them but I proper mourn the passage of time that has destroyed them. Mad to think you'll never be able to go backwards, blows my mind.

That has been for sale for about 6 months, asking strong money for one that needs attention on the arches etc.

C16XE is the original Vauxhall engine, X16XE is the later ecotec one with 3bhp less and a different inlet (possibly other differences but I forgot all that stuff 10 years ago :lol

At this point I wouldn't pick and choose over engine type, either way the 1600 is okay but not going to set the world on fire.

Aye it's strong money alright, I clicked into the ad expecting it to be mint, but....

Still a nice motor.

Going to look at this one tonight as I'm back in the country.

Ended up buying the GSi last night after negotiating a suitable price.

That's a picture from the seller. I'll get it cleaned up and get some proper pics soon. It's rough round the edges, and the door has been bent at some point, but looks to be a solid enough engine and shell.

Cheers Ian, it's not bad at all paint wise actually, although the rear bumper does need a good buff or respray.

Door isn't the worst news.

Tyres look massive as well, perhaps I'm just not used to seeing 14s.

Time and space mostly, only really got room for two cars inside and currently the back bay is occupied by a Puma that's had a bare shell spray and is having a turbo engine so that'll be there a bit. Also a Fiesta due in after that for a similar job, shell build from a resprayed one. After that then yeah Corsa should really come in and be started but fairly sure paid work will get in the way.

Plus I've no idea how Corsas go back together, could do a Puma or Fiesta in my sleep now but Vauxhalls look like Mazdas to me these days.
