I have the originals for mine and have toyed with the idea of putting them on but the speedlines finish the car off IMO.
That said if you don't have a set already.... Maybe I would keep the originals on.
Sorry, no help

Is it lowered at all? If it is the speed lines do look great
Although now days a standard one is just as good to see
I had mine on original wheels and cave wheels and think I preferred the originals looking back. Did drive better on the 15 inch wheels though.

It feels like yesterday but is probably about 8 years ago now
Was a good honest car that I bought 100% standard with low miles then had it resprayed and it looked lovely
I lost heart with it though after it started burning oil and I spent out on new stem seals and piston rings and it was still the same after Drove well though running a 421, mantzel and a remap
Think it got ragged around a bit after I sold it and then someone attempted to put a LET in it. Think it was in a bit of a sorry state last time it was seen

Sad when that happens. When I sold my first 106 gti, months later it popped up online with a bodykit, massive exhaust, stickers all over it etc etc and I kinda wish I'd scrapped it at that point lol.

I kno mate they're common but I think it's the only way to go on a gsi..going silver...think they look shit in black lol I want 40s on them aswell think they look better...there's a lad by me who's got a silver set with 40s on a Belmont I might see if he wants a deal if not I'll just have these done

It's not like there is thousands of GSi's out there now with speedlines so I don't think they are that common anymore
I ran 40's on my old one and plan to swap my current 45's for 40's, they make a big difference to how the cars sits and looks much better IMO.

Ye you're right..to be honest you don't see many sets come up for sale like they used too
They do look better on 40s I know what you mean..should have it back together and wheels on before summer comes

Finally finished the poly bushed anti roll bar and stuck it back together..new ball joints whilst they was off..put the speedlines on the front for now just to see what they looked like really..I'm still unsure wether to leave it on originals or the speedlines just in silver..doing the cambelt soon as it's due a change then I'll have it back on the road

Cheers lads..it's got it's marks here n there which you can't see with the camera..I've rolled it out the garage 1st time in 6 months washed the dust off it and stuck the other speedlines on the rears...they actually look better in the flesh but eventually I'll have them silver if I decide to keep them on..cambelt Next week then it's near enough back on the road
