I actually quite like the interior, it's a little retro. Think it'll look loads better when it's actually clean.

What wheels did Seth put on his E39? 7-series ones? Looked fantastic as I recall.

Same colour as well, I think.

Looks ace.

Use G101 to clean the seats and a medium stiff brush, also use it on the carpets/mats

£1500 for a 16 year old car with 170k? I'd have said £5/600 tops.

Looks like it would be a good bus for the likes of a scumball rally.

528i Msports arent common and a good inbetween if you want a bit more grunt over a 525i and dont want to pay 530i money. Ive seen 200k 525s sell for over £1500.

Sticky throttle could be MAF or even the throttle body (if its anything like the m54 engine) aswel as the pedal if it is fly by wire?
Nice motor this, lad I know just got an imola red 540i. Very nice barge, somehow don't look that dated on the outside

Shh you, how's your sleeping?

I'm enjoying rubbing in the fact it's done 3.5 times the mileage Dad's shitbox has and it turns corners and engages gear perfectly

It's an M52 engine isn't it? Pedal is 100% cable, I can see both ends of the cable with my own two eyes. I need to unhook it engine end and see if the throttle body moves freely but I unhooked the pedal end last night and the pedal moves freely without the cable attached to it. I imagine after 16 years and 171k the grease inside the cable no longer resembles grease!

Does the pedal feel like its actually sticking? Or are the revs just staying high?

If its the latter then it will be the ISCV getting stuck open/coked up or a slight inlet leak.

My E36 of similar era had inlet leaks and a sticky throttle cable. But of grease on the cable and replaced a few hoses. job done
