My Corsa C 1.3 cdti was doing 60mpg

Cheap on fuel but not very comfortable on a run

Mk 3 1.6 tdci Focus does 50mpg without trying. Great on fuel, comfortable enough but boring as hell to drive daily.

Yeah been looking at mk4 golf, seem to be holding money the diesel ones and are a decent car. They cost more to insure than a golf r though oddly.

I had a mk4 anni and was doing just less than 50mpg. Also cost more to insure than I was expecting for some reason.

The other half has a 2007 Megane 1.5 dci and it's insanely good on fuel, 60-65mpg normally.

Wanting a cheap 2nd car though, are they under 2k?

Plus I don't think I could face the embarrassment of owning a French thing tbh.

I fucking loved mine - paid £1k for it too so yes, they really are decent

We have a polo bluemotion and the clio was alas good on fuel and a far better drive. Also way more comfortable and less rattley which is strange
