Yes mate - a couple had a bit of surface rust, already ground them down, treat them and sealed them. All arches, front and rear crash bar, cross member and all underside will be treated and undersealed.

I was looking at an uprated one but I'm gonna have a go at refurbing mine first. Didn't people used to just take them out??

I had all the same places as yours but when I took the arm trim off the rear the metal came with it

Ones off the Corsa B Combi van are thicker and stronger apparently. We're gonna try and source one of those.

Update time. 04/07/16
Me and ah Luke have been on the search for a C20XE engine for a while now. We finally came across a package that our good friend Jeff was selling. He basically said i've got all the bits you'll need for the conversion, so we went ahead with it and went down last Tuesday night to pick it all up.
We got :
Coilpack C20XE
F20 Gearbox
Coilpack loom and ECU
All mounts
Driveshafts
Exhaust manifold
Inlet Manifold
Two pairs of disks and calipers
Cesaros wheels
Gear linkage
Here's some pictures when we got it back that night.

Just awaiting a few more things to arrive, and also need to get the strengthening kit welded in. Gonna tidy the bay up a bit more aswell as there are some small rust patches than can be seen in the pics above. Then we should be good to go to get everything back in.
Gonna make sure engine is running ok, get brakes sorted etc then start focusing on the body work as there's some rust on the bonnet etc. All in good time though.

Would be good eh Ian? It'll probably be running come billing time! Bodywork isn't brilliant atm though, so will probably be next year.
