there has not been a court case over neons yet so there aint any set laws regarding them
u can be done 4 displaying certain light colours whilst driving, but if u can only see the glow from the light, and not the tube, then this is an iffy matter, depends upon the copper usually, like numberplates (although they now have strict laws)

his ONLY excuse was that they were glass, i went to the cops station to tell them there not, and they weren't havin none of it!!!

its not Illegal to hav it on your car!!
have you read the artical in REDLINE this week... even REDLINE could hold them (POLICE) to giving a ruling on them!!
you can hav them on your car and just use them for Off Road and show use only then! lol
If it were TOTALLY ILLEGAL.. they would have done you for a LIGHTING LAW.. not the very weeeeaaak excuse of them being plasic! which there not!! there encased in PLASTIC.. for safety reasons!!!
HEAD LIGHTS!!! GLASS

Yes but the fact is that, neons are on the bottom of the car, prone to damage, and SOME may not be protected in plastic, but made of high-tensile glass, which shatters and sprays the motorway with glass shards that soon pops every tyre in the vicinity. VERY SAFE I THINK.

Yes but as it has been stated many times Cybermonkey the Neons in question are plastic meaning the excuse used by the copper to cause a problem was completly wrong.
Why does everyone have to constantly moan about other peoples choice in styling, everyones car is there own people need to grow up and stop calling everything gay if it aint there style.
