The mantzel/velos ones work fine with standard ecu. Its just that, like with everything else, with a chip and raised limit you'll get more.

If people want to see or comment on it they will. Its not a for sale ad, if you want to know more do a search! This has been covered many many times!

What else do you want to know!?

It took velos 1 to 2 hours to remove the top part of my old manifold!
Its a git to remove the pipe going to your air filter though!
I would say it'd take 4-6hours to do!
I wanna know how the lexmaull 1 performs, before and after power runs would be nice to know so people know which one is the best value!

velos must have issues then.

The book time to change a head gasket on these engines is about 4.5 hours. And the inlet has to come off for that!

The whole point of these inlets is that the standard on is restrictive, the velos one solves this, the lexmaul one doesn't.

I would be very suprised if the lexmaul one out performed the velos one in any area by more than about 5%. But the velos one will whip it top end power.

thats cool, ive just had to move out of uni and pack up my bar for the summer cause we only keep it open when students are in residence.

lookin forward to seeing the effects though ive come to a real fork in my plans, im stuck between tuning my current engine or gettin a new one, the chances are i will tune my current one as ive just had all that engine work done that i was on about so i now have a 33K engine which should last a fair bit.

good luck with fitting it, are u doing it urself?

a cheaper option would be a powder coated rocker cover.

I'll do you one on exchange in any colour for £45 inc postage.

the whole point is that the top part of the manifold that covers some of the rocker cover is removed, so a gap is left.

So material would need to be added. Could work but would be very tricky to get to look good.

so its a myth that this gives more low down torque and less top end power.

have you any pics of it off the car?
